[PTabbedContent] [PTab=POWER] [attr="class","appcon"]Abilities: Accelerate the aging process of organic and non-organic entitiesDecelerate the aging process of organic and non-organic entities Reverse the aging process of organic and non-organic entities Accelerated growth [attr="class","appcon"]Explanation of Power: Christine's gift allows her to manipulate her own physical age, and, with practice, the age of other living and non-living organisms, causing the rate of which people, animals, plants, or non-organic objects age to accelerate or decelerate. Reversing the age of non-living things is easier than reversing the age of the living, and both are much more taxing than accelerating them. Using her powers to the extreme in any way can cause Christine to become exhausted and weakens her immune system, causing her to become highly susceptible to illness and disease.Accelerated growth - Christine's pre-pubescent stages were accelerated to a one-year period. While she is technically one year old, she has the physical appearance of a 15-year-old, and the mental capablities of those beyond her years. The most unusual thing about her appearance is likely those silver eyes, inherited straight from her dad. At the best of times, Christine has a slender build, which is mostly due to her weakened immune system that has her falling ill almost constantly. Illness will often keep her indoors, which keeps her fairly pale. Her delicate fingers are rarely seen without art supplies on them - paint, chalk, ink, graphite, or whatever she was last using. Despite this mischievous side, Christine has a rather sweet personality. She developed a passion for art and drawing as soon as she could hold a pencil. Highly intelligent and perceptive, she absorbs any information like a sponge, and especially enjoys math and science. Christine's childhood flew by - her entire pre-pubescent cycle was shortened into a single year, but the accelerated growth rate stopped when she physically turned 15, and she was able to control her powers. Though she has her mother's strong will, she also has her father's empathy. She is curious about the world around her, and constantly seeking to learn more. Even though she is separated from her parents, she takes great care for those who are close to her. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=HISTORY] [attr="class","appcon"]Family: Mother: Katarina Miller Father: Elijah Gardner Godfather: Skye Harris Grandparents: Robert and Scott Miller [attr="class","appcon"]History: Born to two Gifted parents who had recently graduated from Phoenix Academy, Christine ended up as an unexpected joy to her dysfunctional, yet loving family. She had a whirlwind of a childhood, worrying all of her family as she continued to grow at an unusually rapid pace. Under the tutelage of Sebastian DaLek, a former Phoenix Academy professor and close friend to her mother, Christine developed a passion for science and mathematics, and understanding the way that the world around her works. Growing fast, Christine completed her growth cycle near to her first chronological birthday, gaining control over her powers as she reached the physical age of 15. However, it seems that this rapid aging has taken a toll on Christine's immune system. She constantly falls ill and is highly susceptible to disease. Christine has spent most of her life thus far indoors, either at her parents' house in New Jersey or with her mother's parents in Virginia - the country air seemed to help things, weather permitting. When Phoenix Academy fell, Christine was separated from her parents in the chaos. She currently resides at an orphanage in Manhattan, and hopes that she will soon be reunited with her parents. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] [PTab=ROLEPLAY] She couldn't sleep. Christine sighed and slipped from her bed - the last in a row of many others that lined the walls in the room. This room was like many others in the orphanage. So many children had been lost or separated from their families or...worse. Christine hated to think about that. Her mother and father had to be out there. They were both gifted. Her parents were too strong to give in to the bad man who had destroyed the school. They were definitely looking for her, it was just...going to take some time. Pulling a notebook and a pencil from under her mattress, Christine padded over to the window. There was just enough moonlight spilling in to allow her to see. She flipped to a fresh page. What did her parents look like now? She had several drawings of them in the notebook already. Christine didn't want to forget the perfect life they had - well, it seemed perfect compared to this. She missed them so much. Putting pencil to paper, she started to sketch. First, her mother. Just like her, with the wavy blonde hair and the sharp jawline. Her mother was always so pretty. Then her father, with the broad shoulders, and eyes like hers. Her grandparents, what were their names again? Think...remember... [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][/PTabbedContent={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] |
