MORE THAN GUIDLINES
Welcome to Phoenix | Rise From the Ashes, a post-apocalyptic au roleplay. We are a literate roleplay group, which means we strive for creativity and interesting interactions between characters. We also understand writer's block. We are a civil guild, which means we are all friends out of character. ((anything goes in character. We like drama in our role plays.)) If you have a problem with another member, don't be afraid to pm Rachel about it. Your opinion matters and we want this to be a fun environment for everyone.

There is no character limit. But, when you make a character, we want them to stick around. If you use your characters actively and don't get rid of them constantly to make new ones which are also hardly used, you may make a new character whenever you'd like. However if you begin to abuse the freedom of making characters without a post count, you'll have to face the wrath of Rachel (aka a post count will be imposed as necessary). Simply put, use your characters and you'll be able to make new ones whenever you'd like.[attr="class","appcon"]two:
You will need to post your character's application in the Join Us board. Then, they will be evaluated, accepted and given a ribbon or commented on. If you do not post an application within 3 days of joining you WILL be considered INACTIVE.[attr="class","appcon"]three
When you make a character, keep in mind that we have no overpowered characters or perfect ones. No godmoding or powerplaying.--If you are unsure what godmoding is, please watch This Educational Video.

Language: Freedom of speech. So cursing is allowed, talking about whatever subject. Just please be respectful when you do it. We're all your friends here. Don't try to make someone uncomfortable.Sexual Content: Hinting at sexual acts is allowed, but not descriptive scenes as outlined in the proboards terms of service. If you would like to take your intimate encounter to the next level you MUST put an (M) in front of the title, but there still may not be any detailed descriptions. There may be an external site available for these interactions later.
Violence: Fight scenes are awesome. But same thing goes for a violent thread. If you want to step up the violence to an all out blood bath of raining guts and describe it in /great/ detail, you MUST put a (V) in front of the title of your role play.
[attr="class","appcon"]five:
Signatures may not be any taller that 300 px. Don't stretch the boards. Which means 600 px width is the rule of thumb. No .gif icons or signatures. They make the page load slower.[attr="class","appcon"]six:
Activity policies: If your character has not been used (as in roleplayed) for one month, it will be moved into the archives. Should you want it to return, simply sign in with that account and your character will be restored to its former glory. If you have not been active for more than 3 months without notifying Rachel of your absence, your account(s) will be DELETED.[attr="class","appcon"]seven:
We do not have a word count here. But! The unwritten rule (well, I suppose now it is written) is to reply with as much (or close to) what was given to you. For example, if your role play partners are giving you two paragraphs it is rude to reply with two sentences! Also, we role play in third person past tense here, so have your posts conform to that so we don't get confused.[attr="class","appcon"]eight:
We are all friends out of character. Role play drama and the ooc chat should be kept separate. What happens in role play, stays in role play. If someone's character does bad things to yours, don't take it personally. You WILL get offended regularly if that is your take on things. Further more, your character cannot know things that were said out of character. For example, if a character cheats on their girlfriend, yet covers his tracks rather well, said girlfriend will not automatically know. Makes sense?
