This process 'charges' that item and turns it into an explosive weapon of sorts. It is significantly easier for him to charge smaller objects because the time required to charge them is greatly reduced. An added bonus for charging smaller objects is that they are much easier to 'throw'. Liam can also use his power to accelerate an object's kinetic energy instead of converting its potential energy. When Liam 'throws' a charged object, the energy he has put into it or accelerated can make it travel very quickly and cause an explosive reaction upon impact. The only real limitation to this ability is the time required to charge the object: the larger it is the more time it takes to charge. Most of the time, Liam charges objects through direct contact, although with extreme concentration he can charge objects near to him. The power of his 'throws' and the damaged cause by them is dependent on the mass of the object he is charging, so a smaller object wouldn't have as much of an impact as a larger object. He's not in top physical condition, but he has been known to get in fights that he sometimes wins. He doesn't even let them get to the over-committed clingy stage, he dumps them the moment they sleep with him. He wasn't always this way, see on time there was this girl who broke his heart and....yeah, who am I kidding? He's always been this way. Liam is spoiled rotten, and has been since his mother married his step father when he was six. Maybe it was the fact that his father walked out on them before that, or maybe it was the fact that his step-father tried to send him to boarding school for his entire life, but Liam grew up to be a spiteful and all around annoying kid (at least to his step-father and pretty much anyone else in the rich world he was forced into). He tends to break the hearts of any woman he can get close to, mostly because he gets bored of them. Even more than that, Liam likes to make people jealous. He doesn't always mean to do it, but when he's with a girl and she sees him looking at someone else, it makes him feel so great to see the jealousy in her eyes as she stared down the other. So yeah, Liam is pretty much a dick, even when he doesn't mean to be, which he usually is. He's a bit of a wild child as well, having decided early on to try to blow every last penny of his step-father's undeserved fortune partying and doing all kinds of illegal shit. While he know this worries his mother (and he actually does love her) his hatred for his step-father makes him do some crazy things. Instead, he and his mother and real father lived in a small town, in a small house with very little income. Neither his father or mother could ever really keep a job and the strain of bills started to cause their relationship to deteriorate. When he was four his father walked out on him and his mother, leaving her to support their living. It was a tough point in their life, one where Eliza could hardly afford to clothe the growing boy, let alone pay for electricity monthly. She was in and out of jobs, never really able to find a company that valued her as an employee. A year later, to escape the stress of living from paycheck to paycheck, his mother moved them to Chicago, hoping to find a better life for them there. And it worked. Not long after, his mother got a good paying job and their life started to get easier, although still touch and go. That's when Harold came into the picture. Liam's mother met him at a conference that she was attending as an assistant for her boss. They hit it off immediately and faster than Liam's young mind could comprehend, they were married. At first it seemed great. Harold had a lot of money and they moved into a nice house, but then shit started to go down hill. His step-father had never wanted kids and wasn't all that fond of Liam (who was starting to get into his more troublesome years). He tried to convince his mother to send him off to boarding school and eventually she gave in, believing it would be a good experience for her son. Turns out she was wrong. There Liam experienced much more stress than he would have if he were able to escape school drama. Eventually that stress turned into an explosion of power when his gift finally activated. Obviously things had to be covered up and Eliza suddenly realized that he couldn't be forced to stay there. Liam returned home and some of Harold's precious money was put into finding a specialist on powers. He would have rather sent Liam to one of the fancy schools for gifted children but his mother (who didn't want to be the second parent to abandon him) wouldn't allow it. Besides, boarding schools had started it and she was sure they wouldn't solve it. Liam spent the rest of his teenage years learning his gift and growing to resent his step-father more and more for not caring about him like he probably should have. He acted out, he got in trouble, he blew Harold's money, anything to make that asshole pay for trying to take his mother away. And then disaster struck. Luckily he and his family weren't located in an area that got hit hard, but they knew the world was changing. When the dust settled, Harold made a business decision to stick with the side with the best odds. So the coward started working for Bolas. He moved their family out to New York where Liam used his money to get himself a nice apartment in manhattan (although he didn't really fit in with all the assholes who lived there, he was a different kind of asshole). Of course, when Liam turned eighteen, Harold decided it was time for him to start working for his keep. So technically Liam also works for Bolas by default of working for his step-father....not that he ever really shows up for work... Rather than answer it, Liam just let it ring, falling back into the soft white sheets of his bed. How was he supposed to know it was morning anyway? It was raining outside, there wasn't any sunshine beaming through his curtains. Honestly Harold had the most unreasonable expectations. Running a hand through his curly hair, Liam noted that he felt quite content in bed, but he did have a slight headache, must have been from all the liquor he drank last night. Speaking of liquor...he glanced to the side to see a very nude tan body wrapped up in his sheets. Amelia. They'd been seeing each other for a few weeks, not exclusively of course. Did she know that? Liam thought on it for a moment, but figured she probably did and if not she was too stupid to waste his time anyway. Anyway, they'd been having a lot of fun and Liam was more than content to let it continue. His hand came to rest on her cute little butt, only half covered by the sheets. The smile that came to her face told her what he'd known all along, she'd been awake from the moment his phone started buzzing. Liam grinned, "good morning sunshine." The girl opened her eyes, green irises blazing with mischief as she crawled atop him, biting her lip before leaning down and kissing him. He made sure to drag it out, hands pulling her hips down lightly. However, when they stopped kissing he looked up at her with a sexy fire in his eyes, "mmm, that's nice...now how about a bit lower?" He grinned when she started to shit down his body, looking up at him with what she probably thought was a sexy and seductive smile. While it was pretty hot, he still would rather that pretty little mouth just did what he said rather than toying with him. When she finally reached her target, Liam's eyes went to the ceiling and he sighed, a very content noise.
