[PTabbedContent] [PTab=POWER] [attr="class","appcon"]Abilities: Shapeshifting[attr="class","appcon"]Explanation of Power: Sebastian Blackwell is a snake, specifically a forest cobra, also known as a naja melanoleuca. (x) He was born as a snake, from an egg hatched by his mother. It is not that he can transform into the animal, Sebastian is the animal, and his gift is that he can transform into a human. He is eight feet long, black on the back, and an off white color with black stripes on his front. His venom has the power to kill a person within thirty minutes of the bite, due to the massive amount that his species can produce. The venom of this cobra is a postsynaptic neurotoxin and bites result in severe neurotoxicity. Sebastian’s species is particularly dangerous because of the amount of venom he can inject with only one bite. The species is aggressive, and its bites can cause symptoms such as drowsiness, paralysis of some limbs, hearing loss, the inability to speak, dizziness, shock, stomach pain, fever, and other neurological and repertory symptoms. Death can occur rapidly upon envenomation in severe cases.Aside from having a generally slimy appearance, in his human form Sebastian still has some snake-like physical traits. His brown eyes have black slit where his pupils would be, and he has two subtle fangs. Sebastian can speak to snakes, through a series of hisses, can summon them if he pleases, and can use them to do his bidding. While human, Sebastian can bite someone, but only inject a smaller amount of venom, not nearly quite to kill someone (unless given enough time to replenish his venom stores). He has to be in animal form to do maximum damage. He's a beautiful boy, long eyelashes, glowing eyes, beautiful lips, and soft skin. To combat these traits is the sunken nature of his eyes, and the sharpness of his facial structure. His face is usually sporting an expression of cockiness, displeasure, or anger. So despite his elegant elfish features, Sebastian gives off an air that is dissimilar. In high school, he sported medium length brown hair that was always greasy, and partially shaved. But as he grew older and became more involved in his father's business, he cut it shorter, and it is typically gelled back. The boy has great height, and not much fat on his body, though he is toned to some extend. Overall, Sebastian looks the part of a slithery, slimy snake. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=PERSONALITY] [attr="class","appcon"]Likes: Swimming, climbing trees, hunting prey in his animal form, women who will obey him but are powerful, horror films, coffee, fashion, collecting knives, tattoos, listening to music on vinyl, cigarettes, warm weather, reading, classical music and jazz, cats, rain, dark poetry, meat, wealth[attr="class","appcon"]Dislikes: Romanticism, modern music, loud people, Christmas and most holidays in general, children, hippies, pointless television and movies [attr="class","appcon"]General Personality: Cunning and sly, Sebastian has an immense lust for power and money, and will do what is necessary to obtain these goals. He is pretentious in nature, and a bully to say the least. His general persona repels people, for he comes off as quite intimidating and unapproachable, an evil glint often in his eyes. However, there is something dangerously intriguing about Sebastian- perhaps it’s his arrangement of tattoos, body piercings and jewelry. Or perhaps the fact that he is oddly prettier than a fair amount of girls, and can manipulate weak people just by looking into their eyes and talking smooth. The friendships that Sebastian has are rarely genuine, and he tends to gravitate towards those who are powerful, but not so much that he feels threatened. There are usually ulterior motives behind any kindness he shows to others. When it comes to women, Sebastian doesn’t participate in exclusive relationships. He enjoys raw, animal sex, but not the emotional companionship that most relationships require. (And being a misogynist doesn’t usually bode well with the ladies.) Though an independent lad, Sebastian knows he will eventually need to marry in order to reproduce offspring and carry on his family’s name, but that is all that he sees marriage as being necessary for. Raised to act older than his age, Sebastian is mature and sophisticated, as well as being devilishly smart. The times when he acts most childish is when he works hard for something and still doesn't get his way. He is also quick to anger in situations where he has been betrayed, or let down by those he believes to be unintelligent [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=HISTORY] [attr="class","appcon"]Family: Valerius Blackwell (father, x), Catherine Blackwell (mother, x,x), Gavin Blackwell (brother, x), Cecilia Adaeza (fiance, x,x) [attr="class","appcon"]History: Despite being born into an incredibly wealthy family, Sebastian’s life has been far from cushiony. Born and raised in a mansion in southern Florida, Sebastian was born into a long line of family with members who all possessed the same power as he. His parents and many of his relatives gravitated to this tropical region of America because it is a comfortable environment for their species of snake. Having the ability to take human form allows for them to live wherever they please, however it would not be comfortable for the Blackwell’s to live in areas with cold weather, or very urban areas that make hunting difficult. Though hunting for prey is not a necessity, for nutrients can be gained by eating human food, it is not nearly as satisfying as stalking a fish or a rat.Sebastian, his brother Gavin, and his parents lived in a fairly secluded area, and weren’t permitted to play with other children except for those in his family. At the young age of five, Sebastian’s father began the boy’s training. He taught him and his brother, who is a year younger than him, how to make the transformation into the forest cobra, and how to change back. He taught them how to hunt, how to swim, and how to climb trees, all with unbelievable stealth and agility. He flew them to various part of the world, including icy climates and forced them to adjust, in animal form only. And most importantly, their ruthless father taught them to fight, Sebastian and Gavin forced to use each other for practice. Sebastian excelled in all of these tasks, and always came out on top. Regardless of age, Sebastian was not only larger than Gavin, he was faster, stronger, and more aggressive. With time, Sebastian grew to be very much like his father, cold-blooded and relentless. The Blackwell’s are known to be savages, some even hunt, particularly youth, if not for the taste, for the rush of adrenaline. Though Sebastian never quite took to dining on humans, he was no exception to being cruel and power hungry. From his mother, a gentle and submissive woman, Sebastian learned manners. He struggled with this more than anything, for he lacked respect for his authorities and elders. But with time, he learned to be well behaved when it was necessary, and he learned that being well spoken and well read could get him far in life and help him with his endeavors. Sebastian and his brother’s relationship has always been rocky, due to their differences, and because their father forces them to fight, and began this at a young age. Gavin is the oddball of the family, he is timid and shy, a complete and utter pacifist, and is despised by his father for being such a weakling. Sebastian of course endures his brother’s company because he doesn’t feel threatened by him. Gavin has a tight relationship with their mother, while Sebastian gravitates towards their father. When Sebastian hit the age of eleven, his father stopped their homeschooling and sent him off to a gifted boarding school far away from home, his brother following his lead a year after. It had been strange to be away from home, but his father and mother wanted them to interact with other people in order to gain proper social skills. At this school, they weren’t only taught from books about the math and science behind powers, but they were taught how to fight. The trainings were specifically catered to their gifts, and Sebastian often prevailed, leaving his brother behind in the dust. Gavin’s schoolwork was flawless, but his resistance to violence got him into a lot of trouble at his time at the boarding school. Sebastian’s high marks got him praise from his father, which fueled his ego and encouraged his bad behavior. Upon returning home after his last year of intermediate school, Sebastian’s father turned up the heat, and demanded that he fight with him, a far superior fighter due to experience. If it weren’t for the shedding of his skin in snake form, Sebastian would have a multitude of scars on his body from his father’s bites. Having the tables turned on Sebastian was frustrating, and bred even more dislike for his father than there already was, despite his desperation to make him proud. The wealth obtained by Sebastian’s family did not come easily or without risk. The venom produced by cobras is a neurotoxin, which attack the brain and nervous system. In small enough doses, the venom of a cobra can be used to get high, and in studies was preferred by heroin addicts. Sebastian’s father is one of the largest venom drug producers and dealers in the world, using his own family members (close and extended) and other cobras to produce large amounts of venom. The neurotoxin can be put into a pill with other kept secret chemicals to make K-72 and K-76, and are sold for a ridiculous amount of money per dose, or can be bottled and put into snake wine, which doesn’t have quite as potent of an effect, but attracts ‘risk takers’ and people with money. Sebastian’s grandfather began the business, and passed it down to his father, and in time will be passed down to him. However, the man reveals little about the company to his close family, for it is a very dangerous and secretive in nature. Sebastian’s father promised to teach him everything there is to know about it after he graduates from Phoenix, where he was sent to attend high school. In the two years Sebastian has already spent at Phoenix, he has made more enemies than friends, for he is a bully at heart. He does well in his classes, and generally keeps to himself unless provoked, or is feeling like picking a fight. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] [PTab=ROLEPLAY] With a look of confidence that was bordering on boredom, Sebastian waited for his name to be called. He wasn’t nervous in the slightest, for he was familiar with his power, for it was a part of him. He was his power, it was as simple as that. And a far as the audience and judges went, Sebastian didn’t particularly give a fuck about them and their opinion, and he knew he would get into the school regardless of how the audition went. The only other emotion Sebastian felt besides apathy was slight eagerness to exhibit his power to a large crowd of humans. Part of his was bothered by the fact that he couldn’t keep his gift a secret from the school population; it eliminated the element of surprise that was sometime quite useful in a fight. But Sebastian pushed this fear away with certainty that if confrontation was necessary, he would come out on top. “Sebastian Blackwell,” a voice called from the front row of the audience. The tall, skinny boy sauntered out into the center of the stage, wearing black skinny jeans and a long-sleeved, tight black shirt, with sleek matching combat boots that climbed up to the center of his calf. He sported a nose ring and an earing on his left ear, a delicate chain around his neck, and his fingers were decorated with rings, all matching color perfectly. You could tell just by looking at him that he came from money, something Sebastian didn’t have a problem showing off. His hair was artfully greasy, long, a bit stringy, and unkempt looking. It perpetuated his image as a sleaze ball. Trying to evaluate Sebastian just by looking at him was difficult, for on one hand he looked like very intimidating, but on the other hand he was quite beautiful, the shape of his eyes inviting, and his jawline far prettier than that of any girl’s. It was impossible to figure him out by simply taking in his appearance, and most just tended to avoid him at all costs. Carefully, Sebastian took a few cubes of cheese out of his pocket and set them curiously on the ground, scattered a bit, three or four feet apart. He then motioned to a previously chosen volunteer on the side of the stage, who was holding a cage of five mice, all squirming and squeaking in their container. At his gesture, the boy let the mice out, and they began to crawl about the stage, eventually picking up the scent of the sweet smell of cheese. And then, Sebastian transformed himself with great speed that caused him to appear to be a blur to the onlookers, and in an instant he was a snake, in a black coil of scales on the floor. His whole point of view had changed, from being six feet in the air to being on the floor, and Sebastian raised his body to where his head was about a foot off of the ground, and he began to hunt. Delicately he flicked his tongue into the air to pick up the scent of the rats, whom he couldn’t see as well in his animal form. But being a snake felt like home to him, for it was what was natural to Sebastian. And one by one, he killed the mice, biting them initially and injecting them with his venom so that they would die, and then swallowing them whole and forcing the audience to watch as the lump of furry creature made its way down his body. The process was swift, and Sebastian felt an animalistic rush of adrenaline run through his body with every squeal of pain the mice released. Hunting was something the boy loved very much- to kill was a beautiful thing, and he felt his mouth pleasantly sticky with venom and blood. In a final display, Sebastian slithered his eight-foot long body to the front of the stage and made himself as tall as he could, and hissed at the crowd, jabbing his neck in their general direction so that a few people in the front row flinched. Then, in a blur of black motion, Sebastian returned to his human form, clothes on his body as they had been before. Everything was the same, except for his belly was full and when the boy smiled devilishly to the crowd, his mouth was temporarily stained with blood. This bright red matched that of the floor, and Sebastian didn’t have to look down to know that it looked like a crime scene had just taken place where he stood. In a cocky manner, without hearing word from the staff, Sebastian exited the stage, making eye contact with no one.
