[PTabbedContent] [PTab=POWER] [attr="class","appcon"]Abilities: Ceran feeds off of the mana of others to fuel his own abilities, and can blend into near invisibility.[attr="class","appcon"]Explanation of Power: Ceran is a leech. He is able to take mana from gifted humans through close proximity, but the process is much quicker if contact is made. A deep Mana pool can be sapped dry in about ten minutes, but the average person should not take longer than two. Often the person can still use their gift afterwards, though it will likely be weakened for a few hours. The effects of feeding are mostly physical. When he is well fed Ceran is stronger, faster, and more durable. While individually these traits are usually weaker than a person gifted with super strength or speed, the combination can be quite Formidable. Toughness is his strongest aspect. His skin can stop low caliber rounds with relative ease, and after feeding he can shrug off most conventional ranged weapons. Other that that Ceran can become almost invisible at the cost of using his drained mana. A trained eye should be able to spot a small ripple-like distortion where he is if they are looking. It takes three days for Ceran to completely use a full charge of mana(which would be about eight gifteds worth of draining,) at which point color leaves his cheeks and he appears to start withering away. The physical powers would wane to about human strength as well. Within two days of that point he would starve. There are a few other features that set him apart, such as his sharp nails and a set of fangs. He might seem delicate to others with his slim -though toned- build and long chestnut colored hair. Honestly he makes a great deal of effort to maintain the look he has. There is a serene beauty about him that is betrayed by his monstrous actions. There is a small scar on either side of his left hand from being pierced by a knife, but otherwise Ceran has no marks along his body. It is typical for him to wear a glove covering that hand, but not his right. He can seem terribly sincere when he wants something, or sometimes just when he wants to set someone up just to be cruel. Due to his appearance it is all too common that others underestimate him, a fact that he thoroughly enjoys. Taking great joy in the agony of others, He is actually among Bolas's most genuinely heinous subjects. This wickedness is accompanied by intellect and an overly confident demeanor. It is quite easy for him to figure out just how much someone is worth to him. He would never consider an average human to be worth his time, but gifted folk are useful enough to keep around. Some just happen to stay longer than they mean to [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=HISTORY] [attr="class","appcon"]Family: None that matter [attr="class","appcon"]History: Things were different for Ceran before the realms crashed, as one might expect. The constancy of mana kept him from starving, but he could never thrive the way he did after it all. Before Bolas did his thing all that he could do was survive and scavenge. )Do you even know how little mana mindless undead have? Simply put, it is insufficient.). Today he finds the juxtaposition of his then and now against the poor being that inhabit the world humorous. With the added risk of starving came opportunity. There were some in the new world touched by the realms. They were meatier morsels than before, and certainly easier to catch. He still had to actually catch them, however. The "Rebels" we're less unified than Bolas's guard so the scattered humans had a much harder time striking out against him. With that plan it was not long before he found himself serving Bolas as a Jailor and as a guardsman to keep his appetite sated (and to have some fun.). These days he keeps about a half dozen more harmless gifted humans locked up to feed from when he needs a pick-me-up. All gifts from his lord, of course. He rarely ventures far from Manhattan, just to be within a day's hike back. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] [PTab=ROLEPLAY] A light pitter-patter of footsteps could be heard from the other side of the cell door. Ceran knew this much. There was no other explanation why the boy -was he still a boy? It had been some time since he arrived- was always so far off in the corner when the door opened. "Oh, little dove," the leech almost sang to the man-boy inside. "You know why I'm here." There was a sound of the key in the lock, then the heavy metal door swung open. Inside there was a dark haired young man chained to the wall. He had a good amount of mobility, able to reach three of his large cell's four corners. When this one arrived there were these dreadful appendages on his back. Wings, he called them. Whatever they were called, they had to go. Ceran had to know that he was not a deceiving angel. Along with the lingering scars from that, the boy had earned a few marks on his once pristine skin. Eventually he learned though. For that moment there was silence from the grounded Gifted, so Ceran took the moment to speak. "Do you know why I leave you so much? Do you know why you have a bed to sleep on? Or why I put up with you constant need for nourishment?" His words were spoken as if he honestly cared for the answer. The boy looked him in the eyes for the first time that visit with hatred in his eyes as if he was trying to burn a hole through Ceran's soul, then looked away. Off into the corner of the room. "I suppose it must be hard to understand." Ceran said. Quickly he had the boy by the throat to take what little mana he had to offer. Once the boy had nothing left, once he hung unconscious from the leech's grip he was left to sit up on the wall. Only then did Ceran deem it time to leave a kiss on the boy's forehead. Soon Ceran was gone, and the boy would awake to a closed door and a dreary cell. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][/PTabbedContent={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] |
