[PTabbedContent] [PTab=POWER] [attr="class","appcon"]Abilities: Shape Shifter [attr="class","appcon"]Explanation of Power: Imogene has the ability to shift between a human form, and that of her more natural snake form. Her family, the Labelle’s, are all more black mamba than human. Deadly, fast, and sleek, the black mamba is one of the world’s deadliest snakes. In or original snake form, Jean can kill a person with one short bite, needing only several drops of venom in their blood stream to do so. The deadliness of the venom lies in its neurotoxins and potency. The nervous system of her victim will shut down within several minutes, and from there, without any medical assistance, can kill a fully grown adult in as little as 20 minutes. A black mamba bite is near 100% fatal—and a bite from one is known in Africa as the “kiss of death”. This is due to the fact their venom is one of the most highly evolved in the world, as is their delivery method. It is also one of the fastest (if not the fastest) snake on the planet—as well as the only one known to chase its prey, and is blatantly aggressive to humans. In her human form, Imogene is a little less deadly, though not to be taken lightly. While her bite is not as venomous in this form, it can still kill an adult human, though it would take hours. In that time, medical assistance could be reached. However, the neurotoxins are still potent, and within twenty minutes the subject of her bite would begin to lose mobility. She can choose to withdraw her fangs, in which they would appear to be rather sharp human canines. Other than her bite, Jean retains some of her speed and aggressive-nature as well. Her reflexes are quite quick, and she can move at a rapid pace, though can’t maintain it for as long. She is rather strong for her slight build, as if she exercised regularly, but nothing excessive. Even in her human form, she is a force to be reckoned with. She is angular, her facial features sharp, with a piercing gaze that often adopts a more golden, snake-like, hue whenever she starts exhibiting her serpent qualities. Like the rest of her family, she is lithe, powerful, and beautiful—just like the black mamba. There is an air of deadliness about her, and her stance could often be described as predatory. She is graceful, and all of her movements are quick and precise.Imogene dresses professionally, though provocative, clothing while working. A suit with a blouse that is just a little too low cut, a skirt with a hem just a little too short. Her clothing choices are nearly always expensive and designer to flaunt her wealth. When not at work she dresses more casually, tight fitting jeans, and a sweater or shirt. Her tastes remain expensive however, and even a simple t-shirt is often paid ridiculous amounts of money for. She doesn’t believe in clothing herself in garbage (which is what she considers low-quality clothing). [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=PERSONALITY] [attr="class","appcon"]Likes: excellent wine, making men/enemies squirm, power, money, designer clothing, being the best looking woman in the room, pain of her enemies [attr="class","appcon"]Dislikes: generic clothing, the poor, wasting time, misogyny, people who don’t find her attractive, cold weather, idiots [attr="class","appcon"]General Personality: Haughty—she believes she is better than most people. It has been ingrained into her by her family since birth, and she truly believes it to be true. It gives her an extreme superiority complex, and infuriates her when someone proves her wrong. When this does happen, she often gets…Aggressive—she doesn’t take shit. Even if she deserves it, she will lash out with words, and actions. While she often tries to repress her anger in a professional setting, she even then tends to lash out and often make instinctive decisions. Thankfully, her instincts are usually good enough that it doesn’t end too horribly, though thinking it through would often make it better. This was especially bad in her youth, though with age she has learned to get a handle on it. Instead, she attacks more thoughtfully, plotting the demise of her enemies with more poise. Still, when she reaches a certain level of anger she tends to snap, and shit hits the fan. Intelligent—even if she wasn’t born that way (though she wasn’t stupid) her parents paid a fortune for her education. Brilliant people from around France were brought to her, molding her, and helping to make her a proper heiress. She excels in strategy, diplomacy, and has been molded into a logical thinker. This however is sometimes hindered by her temper. Sexy as Hell—if her intelligence doesn’t get her what she wants, than sex will. Men and woman alike cannot escape her on that front, especially if getting someone in bed will get her what she wants. She is a very sexual being, and can often make people uncomfortable because of it. For her, sex is a weapon, and more often than not she enjoys it—gives her a feeling of power. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=HISTORY] [attr="class","appcon"]Family: Gaspard Labelle (father), Clarette Blanc-Labelle (mother), Devery Labelle (brother), Margaret Labelle (sister) [attr="class","appcon"]History: The Labelle family, while originating in South Africa, immigrated to France in the late 1800s. When they moved, they were noted for their beauty, dark hair, and shockingly ivory skin. This is where they got the name ‘Labelle’—as it was French for ‘beauty’. In actuality, they took this form because in that era it would provide them with the most beneficial position in society. Doing so allowed them to establish their family early on in the aristocratic society, soon finding them amongst the wealthiest of the time. Their wealth was directly caused by their gift. The black mamba was incredibly dangerous, and the venom, when harnessed, could be used as a powerful weapon. Even in that day, it was easy enough to make alliances with different governments to sell it, making them vastly wealthy. The money was in part to assure that they didn’t blab about the government involvement, but also to keep their allegiance—something that the family often disregarded. They made many under the table deals with over government bodies, more interested in wealth than allegiances. The Labelle family itself is known for being power hungry, vicious, and cunning. Weakness is not tolerated, and it often can cause rifts between other serpent families. They will protect their own, but not if it involved hurting them personally. There is a selfishness there that seems to have persisted throughout the generations. Imogene, being raised in this sort of environment, has been hardened by her families’ ideals, and it has caused her to become more cruel. Growing up wealthy also left her with a sense of entitlement, especially being the oldest of her siblings. Gaspard is the current head of the family; leaving Imogene the air—gender not being considered, since Imogene has time and time again proved her vicious dedication to her family. As a child, Imogene was brought up with private tutors. She learned the basics of the family business, government, multiple languages, and other curriculum including gift-related fighting and prowess. By the age of 13 she was fluent in French, English, German, and Spanish. Having grown up in Europe, being multilingual was highly stressed. Education was forced upon her constantly, and since her family could afford it, she often had private lessons so she could watch and help with the family business as well. For high school she transferred to a private school for gifted children in Europe. This allowed her to hone the control of her gift even more, making her a powerful ally, or a feared enemy. Out of high school she attended Oxford in Britain, though was often going on family business through the continent. She became an ambassador of sorts, meeting with clients, and assuring their business. To do so, she would use whatever means necessary—whether that be simply her wit, fear, or sex. Whatever had to be done in order to assure the family, and in part herself, gained more power. This revolved around her plans to take over the family business when her father passed, though this seemed to change whenever the realms began to collapse. Instead of being an individual unit, the Labelle family realized the need for allies in this time was strong. While other gifted may not have been trusted, their ties with Bolas were strong, but not strong enough for Gaspard to be comfortable. It was decided alliances with other families needed to be made, and Imogene was sent out to attain these. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] [PTab=ROLEPLAY] “You really think that’s wise?” Brow cocked, Imogene leaned on the doorway, arms folded casually against her chest. Bright amber eyes staring at the man in front of her. A politician, who had recently told her he wasn’t interested in doing business with the Labelle family. He was balding, about mid-forties, and utterly boring. She could nearly smell the fear on him as she pushed to her feet—heels clicking loudly against the tile as she approached him. She made quite the intimidating figure. Slim black dress, tall heels, hair pulled back in a simple, yet elegant, ponytail. The man began to open his mouth to speak, but was silenced when a thin, pale hand, shoved him into a nearby wall with surprising strength. “Have you ever seen a Black Mamba Benson?” Jean’s gave turned hard, keeping a hand firmly on his chest while her eyes bored into her. “They’re one of the most feared snakes in Africa, the world actually. Bite could kill you in thirty minutes. But you see, I’m not nearly that kind.” A smile began to grow on her full lips, showing canine teeth that began to lengthen, become more like fangs. She could smell the sweat, laced with fear, on the man’s skin, and she marveled at his weakness. He was positively useless. Her father wanted the money though, and who was she to say no? With how scared the man already was, a little bit of fear would do the trick. “One bit, and you could maybe live if you got to the hospital in time. Thing is, the neurotoxins would get to you before you left the room.” Her forearm moved to press into his neck, pinning him and making it hard for Benson to breathe. His face was soon turning a bright pink color, and she sighed. “And do you really think I would call you an ambulance?” Her face was half a foot from his now, serpentine eyes meeting his frightened ones. She let her fangs extend, and when looking closely, a drop of venom could be seen slowly beginning to form near the end, dropping on her lip and dripping down her chin. With a free hand, she reached up, dabbing it onto her tongue, and gently wiping it on his cheek. “So lets take a quick minute, reevaluate your thoughts on the matter. Would you like to renew your contract with the esteemed Labelle family?” Only now did she release his neck slightly, the man gasping, and beginning to nod. “Yes… yes of course… what was I thinking?” Jean’s nose furrowed, pulling away from him, and taking a step back. It was sickening, how easily changed his mind was. It was pathetic, and she found his entire existence revolting. A small, unamused smile crossed her lips, fangs retracting to a more normal appearance, and serpentine eyes looking a bit less animalistic. “Wonderful, I will have Jennifer fax you the paperwork. Ciao Benson, look forward to seeing you at my father’s courtesy dinner.” She hummed, turning and walking quickly from the room. Imogene was just thankful fear was so convincing. Sleeping with him would have been horrid. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][/PTabbedContent={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] |
