[PTabbedContent] [PTab=POWER] [attr="class","appcon"]Abilities: Ability to creat a bridge between herself and others through which life energy can flow. [attr="class","appcon"]Explanation of Power: Briony has the ability to transfer mana (her source of life) from others to herself in order to become strong, to heal, or simply to weaken whoever she is using her power on. If she goes too long without using her power, Briony begins to feel a "hunger" for life force, incapable of creating her own. If the hunger becomes too great, Briony might lose control of herself and begin collecting energy without meaning to. The transfer of energy appears in the form of mana visibly leaving the other person's body, almost like colored smoke, and entering hers. Briony can take any form of mana and use it to create her own black realm mana. Her power is sometimes equated to that of a succubus, but with one key difference. She can also give life force. It works in very much the same way, but requires actual contact and appears as a glow beneath the person's skin where she touched them. Again, the mana can be converted to whichever they can use. However, she is still a beautiful girl with full curves and an interesting face. She has no idea what kind of heritage she has since she never met her birth parents, but whoever they were they created quite the interesting mix.Aside from her looks, people often notice the tattoos she has on both of her arms as well as on her feet and legs. She never really puts a lot of thought into them, instead immediately documenting her ideas, experiences, and passions on her body the moment the thought crosses her mind. And she doesn't regret a single one.[/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=PERSONALITY] [attr="class","appcon"]Likes: Tattoos, night time, soup, people with strange eyes, getting her way, traveling[attr="class","appcon"]Dislikes: Tornadoes, bright lights, being stuck, small places, bushy eyebrows.[attr="class","appcon"]General Personality: Briony is a lone wolf by choice. She has a very hard personality to get along with and is extremely stubborn. She doesn't really care about what other people want and believes that her way is the only way. That said, Briony still knows how to turn on the charm to get her way. She doesn't hate people, in fact she finds them quite useful sometimes, but when she doesn't need them she prefers to be left alone. For this reason people who know her often think of her as a 'fake friend' when she is actually not their friend at all. She doesn't get attached to people at all and especially avoids romance, not because she's afraid that she'll develop feelings but because she's afraid that they will. Literally the last thing she needs is someone trying to tie her down. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=HISTORY] [attr="class","appcon"]Family: Unknown [attr="class","appcon"]History: Briony has never met her parents and now never will. They were two high school kids who had once dated, tried to make it work so that they could raise their child, but had ultimately failed. Her father left her mother and when she was born she was put up for adoption. After a series of events put a four year old Briony in the foster system, it became very clear that she wasn't going to get out of it. Her power led to a lot of strange things happening and she didn't stay in any of her foster homes for long enough for them to feel like home. That's why she grew up as a wanderer. By the age of fifteen, Briony had grown tired of the system and decided to go out on her own. She had never realized that it wasn't allowed, especially when all of her foster parents didn't seem to want to be around her at all. Everything felt too temporary for there to be an issue with her leaving. She lived on her own for a while, a runaway stealing her food and sleeping wherever she could, but she never hated it. It felt like a relief to finally have control over where she was going and what she was doing, but it wasn't meant to last. Briony was found a few months later and put back into the system. For the next few years she had a rocky relationship with every home she lived in, sneaking out, staying at the homes of friends, boyfriends or girlfriends, not coming back for days at a time. By the time she was eighteen she was sure that it had come as a relief to everyone involved that Briony Emerson was no longer their responsibility. And for a year she was free to live on her own. Then the realms fell. Briony had never know that she was gifted, never imagined that the strange things she could do actually made her different. After all, no one was really concerned enough about her to pay attention to all the things happening around her. But as the idea of powers and creatures became a reality, she realized what she was, who she could be. Instead of feeling lost from everything that had happened when Bolas' army attacked, Briony actually felt free to be herself. And that's exactly what she did. She moved from place to place, traveling and discovering new things about gifts and the realms every day. Relying purely on impulse, Briony made her way across the country to New York where she plans to explore even more of the world that was once hidden to her. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] [PTab=ROLEPLAY] She could tell that her answer to his question had thrown him off and Nallie could understand why. She'd been extremely vague and just pointed to him as the reason she was worried, but it was more than that. If she explained it though, Nallie would be making herself vulnerable again. She would be opening up to him when that was the exact thing that she was trying not to do. She couldn't just let him sit there and think that this was all his fault though. It wasn't Jace who was the problem. "I do," she said slowly, still weighing her words very carefully, afraid that she would say the wrong thing again if she wasn't careful, "I want you here its just that I...I'm afraid." Nallie stopped speaking, but that was still extremely vague. There was no reason that Jace would have any idea what she was rambling on about. Not when she was being so cryptic and avoiding revealing anything. She couldn't help it though, it was a defense mechanism. Nallie had trained herself not to express feelings, not to let anyone in. She lived a life where she wasn't herself and so she couldn't feel what she really felt. It was difficult to force herself to stop doing that, especially when she knew she was likely to get hurt in this situation, one way or another. When he took her hand, Nallie just stared at their hands, letting hers lay limp in his. After a moment she finally applied some pressure, lightly wrapping her fingers around his. She needed to let him in so that he understood what was going on, at least a little bit. She owed him that. Nallie looked up at him from beneath her lashes, head still tilted down in an almost submissive position, "I'm afraid of letting myself feel again, because I'm afraid its going to hurt. You won't hurt me...what I've done will." Nallie had put herself through more than she could have ever imagined doing and she had repressed it the entire time. Feeling things for Jace again would certainly be terrifying, but that would also open up other feelings. Shame, fear, terror, disgust in herself, all things she had pushed down so that she could do what she was supposed to. They would come to the surface and she was afraid of drowning in all the negativity. Especially if he left and those for Jace turned negative too.
