[PTabbedContent] [PTab=POWER] [attr="class","appcon"]Abilities: Can open portals wherever and whenever he wants; can eventually create portals that warp into voids/black holes [attr="class","appcon"]Explanation of Power: Sebastian, by drawing a circle in the air and concentrating on the destination or by simply willing it into existence, can create a small portal within the fabric of space and use said portal as a means of travel throughout space and as a weapon if used properly. Technically, he can create portals without the use of his hands, but he just finds the movement easier when directing the energy through his hands to create a portal. If he wanted, he could simply will space into opening without the use of his hands, or any body part. Also, his portals are much neater looking when formed this way. When creating portals, the most basic ones he can make are ones with one opening and one exit, or a simple Point A opens and leads to Point B, which exits and closes. But through years of practice, he can alter space to create one opening with several exits in different locations, or several openings with one exit. An example would be a Point A portal with multiple Point B exits, or multiple Point A portals with one Point B exit. He can also create more than one portal at a time when he creates them by hand. The most portals he has created at the same time without disrupting the fabric of space is ten portals. How he creates the portals is simple. By bending and manipulating the fabric of space, he can create an opening capable of traveling anywhere he wants, just within the same time period. For example, by creating a portal on one side of the room, he automatically creates a portal on the other side. By stepping though the rip in space, he can literally jump around through space, and exit out the other side. The destinations can vary from places on the globe, to outer space, to black holes, and even to the different realms where all ubieties come from. And because he created them by hand, Sebastian can 'move' them around and even 'hold' them. So by directing the energy, he can move one or more portals in any direction he likes to suit him better. Or he can hold his portals, channeling the energy in such a way that he can grab onto the edge without falling in. An example would be shifting one portal to the side so he when he steps through it, he lands in water instead of solid rock. Another example would be gripping onto the edge of a portal in case he accidentally falls into one. Another thing he can do is make the portals either bigger or smaller, depending on the case. Sebastian can also close and open his portals at will to prevent the disruption of space, and also to keep certain things from getting out, or getting inside. Noted, since he was the one who created the portals, only he can close and create them. No other space manipulator can bend his portals into closing, just as he cannot manipulate other portals he didn't create, or alter another space manipulator's creations. Sebastian's powers, since he discovered them at a young age, have had time to evolve substantially through years of practice. When he first found out about his gift, it had been through an accident. But as he began to practice, he learned how to create them at will instead of on accident. At first, he could only create portals within his line of sight, and only at a fixed size: big enough for only him to travel through. An example would be him creating a portal with an opening and exit within his line of sight. But as he practiced, he advanced to the point that he could create portals to places he had traveled to in the past. An example would be opening a portal in his bedroom, stepping through and exiting out into his kitchen. As his powers grew even more due to his extensive training by his mentor, he found that he could travel to any destination he wanted, whether it is halfway across the globe, and even to the realms from which all ubieties originate. Sebastian's powers can only bend space to create portals to jump through, as he cannot manipulate time whatsoever and create portals that he can time travel through. When he uses portals as a means of transport, he arrives in the same time period as before, down to the last millisecond. An example of this is stepping through Point A, and walking out of Point B, in the same time it takes to take one normal step. While he can create portals to the different realms, he prefers not to. There are certain dangers involved in travelling there. If somehow his powers were lost, he'd be stuck there, along with the fact that many dangerous creatures live there, ready to kill anything that enters their world, depending on the realm. It also takes a massive amount of energy to produce a portal to the five different realms, draining his energy levels to the point where it takes him hours to recover. And when Sebastian closes his portals, he does it simultaneously. But if one were to remain open while the other closed, it would lead to the theory of creating a mini-black hole. However, this is a theory that he has not tested, and prefers not to test in fear of sucking everything around him, himself included into said mini-black hole. While he likes to use his powers for good, he can also use them for bad. While he's a kind soul, if one were to greatly anger him, he could send you to a world where you don't exist, ultimately destroying you, or shoving you in a portal that leads to the surface of the sun. He prefers to not do this however. NOTE: Due to the realms collapsing onto the human realm, Sebastian's gift simply allows him to transport wherever he needs. He's not too muscular, though he's got some lean muscle on him, but he's not skinny either. He's got some long limbs, and some big feet and large hands with long fingers that are gently callused with age and work. Sebastian's face is a bit angular, and not quite symmetrical, but still charming enough in a rugged way. His jaw is well made and he's got a handsome enough chin. His nose is rather large, and a bit crooked along the bridge due to an accident as a child when first discovering his powers. For the most part, he usually keeps his face clean, though at times he's known to have a bit of scruff. Sebastian has some piercing, bright brown eyes, and can often be compared to the intensity an owl has. Not to mention, he's got a naturally expressive face, and little crow's feet from years of smiling. Sebastian also has a great head of thick, dark brown hair that's quite wild and soft to the touch. More often than not, he usually has it combed and styled back into something a bit more manageable. He cares about the world and often feels the need to take care of the earth as it is the only planet that sustains life. He's a lover, not a fighter and prefers to keep it that way as fighting is against his morals. He refuses to hurt people physically, finding it a waste of time and breath. He just doesn't like violence whatsoever and prefers to treat people kindly. 'Do onto others as you would yourself,' is a quote of his, and he follows it to a T. Sebastian also has a tendency to become quite attached to a person, doing his best to keep them happy and out of danger. Honest: While Sebastian can be extremely kind, he's also honest. Brutally honest actually. If he has an opinion of something, he'll tell you the truth and nothing but the truth: even if it hurts. Intelligent: Having been to Oxford University for several years, Sebastian has had the chance to collect his Masters in the fields of Physics and Astrophysics, and his Doctorate in Medicinal practices, as well as minoring in several other fields such as anthropology and language. As a young child, his father recognized his natural intelligence, soon grooming him into a studious learner. His mind is constantly racing, and simply makes connections faster than in others. At times, it is a burden, and leads him to over think and over complicate things, or to over stress minute tasks, but in the end, it's helped him acquire a vast amount of knowledge about this world and others. Party Hard: College was a wild, dark time for Sebastian, and in that time, he realized that when facing the world and about three finals within one school day, his way of coping was going out and getting absolutely wrecked. Eccentric: Sebastian is a bit of a wackadoo to some people. He's quite the talker and will often ramble about and get off topic, but he truly does love conversation. In fact, the reason he found out about his powers was because he accidentally created a portal for the first time and ran into a brick wall, resulting in a broken nose. His parents reacted surprisingly well to the sudden appearance of powers, but always reminded Sebastian as he grew up to be responsible and safe. Being more interested in his studies, Sebastian was never very interested in athletics like Bardroy and Finnian, resulting in his skinnier and less muscular frame. But overall, he was a fun-loving young boy with a caring family. When he was seventeen, he was personally invited to Oxford College due to his academic record. Happily, he accepted the invitation, knowing that he would never get accepted in otherwise and fell right into his strict regimen, soon earning his degrees faster than his peers. In college, Sebastian also met several other gifteds for the first time, an old time traveler who posed as a physics teacher, and a form melder, Ariadne. Positively interested, he asked the man to help him improve his own gift, and Ariadne, or as he called her, Ari, to be his companion. Finding Sebastian quite hard worker, he agreed, helping Sebastian develop his power to levels he never knew. Ari quite enjoyed Seb and loved him much like a brother, and the two spent their years together as best friends. Sebastian soon heard of a school in the Americas, located in New Jersey. He knew it dealt with gifteds, and his natural desire to go and teach others about their gifts and studies eventually pulled him abroad. In his time in America, he met a young dame named Rowan Osika. After meeting under some stressing circumstances, the two had developed a rather strong emotional bond and eventually became a couple after she graduated from Phoenix. The two moved Connecticut once Rowan was accepted into Yale, and the two spent their days there studying together, traveling to the realms for lab experiments, and eventually moving in with one another. He could feel the energy pulling so tight at his center until it all finally fell, smashing and the worlds collapsed in on one another. He felt the entire earth groan and shudder as the oceans flooded and the ground split in great gaping maws and chasms. And now, the entire world was under Bolas's wrath. Ubeities now roamed the earth, vegetation and deserts and oceans grew and disappeared, as if the earth could not decide what it would be. Sebastian had found his ubeity at one point, telling it to go and protect his family. With a clattering noise of gears and cogs and some ungodly noise, it agreed and vanished, moving off to protect his family. He had other worries to take care of. Himself. The Gifted world. Rowan. He had to keep Rowan safe. If all else, he wanted to keep her safe and away from harm with his dying breath. And if it meant doing whatever it took to keep his love safe, he'd do it. Sebastian had done enough harm in his life that he didn't mind doing a little bit more if it returned the rest of the world back to normal and took Bolas out of power. He wouldn't mind doing a little more if it kept his family and Rowan safe. So as he raised the gun he held tight in his hand, he felt no remorse. No pain. No pity. He had no time, no mercy for the scum that lay crawling toward him with bloodied hands, as if trying to stop him. That thing had its chance before. And now, he was going to take care of it before any more damage could be done. With a little twitch of the finger and a bang, it no longer moved. Blood spattered everywhere.
