[PTabbedContent] [PTab=POWER] [attr="class","appcon"]Abilities: Pyro-Telekinesis and Pyroportation [attr="class","appcon"]Explanation of Power: Christian has the ability to use heat and/or fire to surround objects - or people - and lift them into the air via fire or heated air. As long as the object or person is within his sight range, he can use his powers on that subject, or himself. Naturally, if there is a lack of oxygen in the space, Christian's powers are literally snuffed. He also seems to have trouble with using or controlling his powers if he is wet or in water. Christian is also able to teleport via fire. He surrounds himself in flame and then is able to merge into it and appear anywhere else from the same element. Because of this, it's necessary for Christian's skin to be flameproof in order for him to avoid being injured by his own powers, though using this ability will usually cause his clothing to burn up in the process. [attr="class","appcon"]Ubeity: [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=APPEARANCE] [attr="class","appcon"]Height: 6'3" [attr="class","appcon"]Hair Color: Light Brown [attr="class","appcon"]Eye color: Light Brown [attr="class","appcon"]Play By: Luke Mitchell [attr="class","appcon"]General Appearance: Tall and tan, Christian can either intimidate or attract with his appearance. While he is appealing to the eye, Christian's height and muscle tone can be equally as formidable, especially when someone gets on his bad side. His hair and eye color, as well as his clothing style, tend to change depending on his mood - and what personality maintains control over Christian at the time. A black tribal tattoo wraps around his right shoulder, extending down his bicep and the right side of his back, a decision he made once he and Hayden had moved to Los Angeles together. A few light scars can be found on his back and arms from a large fight during a monster attack, in which Hayden was taken from him. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=PERSONALITY] [attr="class","appcon"]Likes: Hayden, protecting others, maintaining control, cold weather, seashells [attr="class","appcon"]Dislikes: Not being able to remember, large bodies of water, being away from Hayden, academics, failure [attr="class","appcon"]General Personality: Christian suffers from multiple personality disorder, where he can slip into various other personalities that are very different from his own. There are currently five personalities that each have their own identities. Since Hayden was taken from him, Ryder has remained permanently in the forefront, and the other personalities have receded for the time being. As himself, Christian is sweet and chivalrous. He's friendly, and a loyal companion to anyone he befriends. Christian cannot swim and grows obviously uncomfortable if he's near large bodies of water, but he has an affinity for beach-themed items. He's not too smart and doesn't retain a lot of the things he's learned as far as academics go, but he's sensitive to the needs of others and does his best to keep his friends happy. Ryder - The Guardian Highly protective, Ryder embodies the strong-and-silent type. He doesn't usually have much to say and is more of a listener, not often expressing much emotion, though he should not be mistaken for painfully-shy Aiden. Ryder seems to be the one who utilizes Christian's muscles the most, and is attentive to the needs of those around him. He usually appears if Christian encounters someone who is distressed or in trouble and will rush to their aid, doing anything to make sure they are safe and protected, especially if that person is important to Christian. Cameron - The Party Guy Cameron likes to think of himself as the one who runs the show. He enjoys surfing and being near the water, as well as skateboarding and snowboarding, and is a bit of a show-off and an egoist. He often complains that Christian doesn't take enough risks in his life and is too boring, so he is often responsible for changing up Christian's looks. Aiden - The Introvert Quiet and shy, Aiden isn't frequently seen by others, likely because he doesn't like to make his presence known. He enjoys studying and reading, and was responsible for Christian's grades in school. Aiden hates conflict, and will hide behind the other personalities if confronted, usually preferring to keep to himself. If he does speak, it's typically in a barely-audible voice or in cryptic little quotes from novels or persons of great importance. Aiden seems to be the most sympathetic towards Christian. Kayden - The Diva Recognized as being the most expressive of the personalities, as well as homosexual, Kayden considers himself the most "cultured" of the group. He has an extensive knowledge of popular culture and musical theatre, and will often hum or sing show tunes. Kayden is every girl's gay best friend, and is easily recognized by his brash and flamboyant personality. Stefano - The Monster Even more rarely seen than Aiden, Stefano is violent, and especially aggressive towards women. The other personalities don't speak of him much, and it seems that they do their best to keep him from appearing, though he may occasionally slip out. He typically speaks in Italian whenever he emerges - it's unknown whether or not he speaks English. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=HISTORY] [attr="class","appcon"]Family: Father: Clinton Shaw, Mother: Jodi Shaw (deceased) [attr="class","appcon"]History: From a young age, Christian suffered under severe physical, emotional, and sexual abuse from his father for reasons unknown to him. Christian never knew his mother; she died giving birth to him, which became the reasoning behind his father's hatred for his own son. This trauma caused Christian to develop a multiple personality disorder, as a sort of defense mechanism of the mind, as Christian could not mentally endure what his father did to him over the course of his childhood. It wasn't until Christian was twelve that a concerned teacher called Child Protective Services after Christian came to school one day with a black eye and a broken arm. After twelve years of torture, Christian was finally rescued from his abusive father, who was jailed, and he was put into foster care, but he didn't seem to be all there. He started seeing a therapist named Karen, who diagnosed him with his condition. It took several years for Christian and his personalities to learn how to trust Karen, and he finally revealed to her his unnatural abilities that he'd had for as long as he could remember, though his memories seemed not to stretch back very far. Christian is unable to remember much at all of his childhood, and doesn't know how he discovered his powers, he only knows that he has them. His personalities seem to suggest that they know what really happened, but are protecting Christian from the truth about his hellish past. Karen turned out to be Gifted, as well, and consulted with his fosters before enrolling him at Phoenix Academy, where she determined he would be safe. Christian graduated shortly after the school fell, and had been safely living in Los Angeles with Hayden, his long-time high school girlfriend, at the time of the attack. Things were peaceful for four years until the city was attacked. There was a large fight between the few gifteds that had been living there and the realm monsters who soon overcame them, and Hayden became separated from Christian. Spiraling into depression over the loss of the one who was closest to him, Christian receded into his own mind, and Ryder stepped in to begin the task of recovering her. It seems that Ryder is now stuck at the forefront until Hayden is recovered, and even then...it may take some time to get Christian to come back. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] [PTab=ROLEPLAY] Christian awoke one morning to find that it wasn't morning at all. His phone said three in the afternoon. Had he been sleeping this whole time? Looking down at himself, he found that he wasn't in any kind of sleepwear. He was pretty sure he never wore a t-shirt and jeans...and shoes to bed on a regular basis. Confused and unable to remember what he'd been doing since before yesterday afternoon, Christian rubbed his eyes and stretched before sitting up. Man, what had happened...? He just felt weird. With a sigh, he headed out from his room and down the hall to the bathrooms. Maybe a shower would help clear his head. Of course, it hadn't really helped him at all. Wrapping his towel around his waist, he started to head back to his room when he caught a glimpse of his reflection in a nearby mirror that caused him to stop and turn to face it fully. "Oh, man..." he groaned and lifted his hands to touch his hair. What...what was this? Since when was his hair black?! How had he not noticed that before? What the hell? He stood in front of the mirror for a very long time, running his hands through his hair and trying to figure out what had happened. He couldn't remember a damn thing. It made his mind ache. This must have been...those other people that he sometimes became. He didn't know too much about it, but his friends or therapist used to tell him about how he had some kind of multiple-personality condition. Weird things like this happened all the time but...he'd never get used to it. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][/PTabbedContent={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] |
