[PTabbedContent] [PTab=POWER] [attr="class","appcon"]Abilities: Electromagnetic Pulse Emission and Electricity Infusion [attr="class","appcon"]Explanation of Power: Asher can produce a surge of electromagnetic energy, which can disrupt simple technology nearby. The pulse comes from his entire body when in use. With training he'll be able to disrupt larger and more advanced technology, but at the moment his powers only work on cell phones, small personal computers, and walkie talkies. He's working on trying to better his powers to gain more use out of them. He also must worry about range, currently he's only able to send out his EMP blast roughly twenty feet, so the users must be relatively close. He is also limited by how long the blast will hinder the technology, at the moment his max to be able to affect technology is fifteen minutes. Asher is also able to infuse electricity into objects, most of the time it being a weapon but he can also use his hands to store the electricity. The set back he finds himself dealing with the most is finding a source and drawing the energy from it. He must have an adequate amount of time to draw out the power(depending on where he is getting it from.) His go to is normal a wall socket, though he's realized he cannot store the energy for long as of right now. He's only able to store the power for about five minutes. Asher is very young and barely has a handle on his new found powers, shocking himself(if he's not careful with his concentration) and others. He's normally got a small static electricity aura around him, creating little shocks when he's least expecting it. [attr="class","appcon"]Ubeity: [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=APPEARANCE] [attr="class","appcon"]Height: Five feet and seven inches [attr="class","appcon"]Hair Color: Brown [attr="class","appcon"]Eye color: Brown [attr="class","appcon"]Play By: Teo Halm [attr="class","appcon"]General Appearance: Asher doesn't come from much, when his family was alive he was in a lower middle class family, mainly gaining his clothes from his older brother's hand me downs. He can't remember the last time he had something that was brand new. That was fine with him though, Asher never really cared about clothes. He didn't like a few of the clothes that his brother had given him, but he realized early on that his family couldn't afford new clothes all the time and that his brother needed them more. These days he takes what he can get, most of the time he's sleeping on the streets and fashion isn't his first thought. When out trying to protect his city he wears a pale blue hoodie, he likes to think it'll hide his identity. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=PERSONALITY] [attr="class","appcon"]Likes: ~Cookies, all kinds really but his favorites are oatmeal raisin. ~Where's Waldo books ~Instrumental music, he always wanted to learn how to play the piano. ~His city ~Guys, though he does try to keep his mind clear of things like that. Asher can't help but get a bit nervous whenever a handsome guy is talking to him. [attr="class","appcon"]Dislikes: ~The loss of all his family and his guilt over it. ~People who sided with Bolas. ~EDM ~Chocolate ice cream ~His current living conditions. [attr="class","appcon"]General Personality: Asher is a headstrong kid that doesn't like taking "no" for an answer. He'll do whatever is possible to do the right thing, even if that means putting himself in danger. After losing his family the boy became more of a recluse, staying away from people so that if he were to lose them as well it wouldn't hurt quite as bad. If you're able to get close to him you'll find a kind and generous kid, one that would give you the shirt off your back if you needed it. He's protective of his city and feels the need to put his life on the line to ensure its safety. Asher doesn't have much in life, he tries to keep a positive outlook on things though. He realizes that living on the street isn't the best case scenario, but it could always be worse. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=HISTORY] [attr="class","appcon"]Family: Father: Greg King-Deceased Mother: Carrie King-Deceased Brother: Kyle King-Deceased [attr="class","appcon"]History: Asher had a relatively normal life before the invasion. His family weren't rich, far from it actually, but he always enjoyed being with them. They never let money get in the way of their love and laugher. Asher can still remember his mom's smile and how it could light up a room, but he can never see it again. His family was killed during the take over, slaughtered. Asher was out playing with his friends whenever it happened, five years ago. The kid came home after a day of playing with all his friends to find his family scattered through the house, torn to pieces. That takes a toll on a kid, it changes them. Somehow he ended up in an orphanage, though he really couldn't remember any details. Everything up till then was so fuzzy in his memory, how long was it before he ended up there? Days? Weeks? Months? He couldn't remember. It all just ran together. Asher lived at the orphanage for four years, until he decided to go and try to live on his own. He knew that they needed more room for the kids...and him leaving would mean one extra bed for them. After leaving Ash found out he could make a difference, that he had more power than even he knew. The kid was gifted and no one knew it, no one except him. No one would expect him to be using them, if he covered up his identity at least. He decided to start using a nickname, someone no one had ever called him before...he would now be known as "Pulse." Asher did his best to train his powers, it was more difficult than he thought it would. He just didn't know how to make them do what he wanted them to do, but that didn't stop him from trying. He realized quickly that one power was more useful than the other. Sure, sending out an EMP blast could be helpful, but having a metal baseball bat pulsing with electricity was much more threatening. Asher has been doing his best to protect his city for a year now, but most of the time it just results in him getting the crap beat out of him. The kid has never had any formal training when it comes to fighting so against someone bigger and stronger...the odds are against him. [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] [PTab=ROLEPLAY] Asher pulled the hood down on his jacket, watching the movement in the pale moonlight. It looked like a drug deal, but something was wrong...it was turning sour. The kid grabbed his bat and pulled the hood back over his face. He had to stop what was about to happen. The boy moved over to one of the street lamps and drew from its power supply, charging his body and readying his weapon. "Hey!" He shouted and both of the men looked over at the boy. "You need to leave, now!" The men looked at each other then back to the boy walking up to them and immediately started laughing. Asher sighed, having dealt with the laughter so many times before. No one ever took him seriously, sure, he wasn't the biggest or the strongest...but he was quick and his power could lay you out. "I said leave!" He yelled at them before sending the stored electricity down to the bat. The weapon emitted blue sparks as he held it by his side. "Or do you want to laugh some more?"
