[PTabbedContent] [PTab=POWER] [attr="class","appcon"]Abilities: Kaz can meld with shadows [attr="class","appcon"]Explanation of Power: Kaz can meld into shadows, becoming nothing more than a much darker splotch in the shade that he melded with. The splotch is a bit amorphous, but generally is oblong and about five feet tall and three feet tall on walls and circular with a diameter of four feet on the floor. Shadows must be around this size for Kaz to hide in them When he is in this state Kaz is untouchable by normal means, though shining a flashlight on him would force him out and greatly disorient him.The actual act of melding with shadows just looks like he walks into a wall or sinks into the floor. Obviously, this requires a sufficiently dark spot to hide in. When he melds, his senses are greatly dulled, hearing is muffled, sight loses contrast, and smell, touch and taste disappear altogether. He can also only see perpendicular to the shadow, so when Kaz is a shadow on the floor, he is looking up, and when he is on the wall, he can look horizontally. Also, Kaz needs a split second to adjust to his returning senses after separating from shadows. As Kaz takes up no physical matter when he is in the shadows, he can not physically affect anything.additionally, any vocalizations he might make come out echoing slightly. On a final note Kaz can move around in the shadows, so long as he doesn't cross into anything too lit up [attr="class","appcon"]Ubeity: ADD UBEITY IMAGE HERE (optional) [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=APPEARANCE] [attr="class","appcon"]Height: 5'5"[attr="class","appcon"]Hair Color: Brown[attr="class","appcon"]Eye color: Brown[attr="class","appcon"]Play By: Dylan O'brien[attr="class","appcon"]General Appearance: Once a scrawny little twig of a person, Kaz has grown into a pretty nice build and defined facial features. His brown hair has grown out some length compared to where he used to wear it. The glasses still adorn his face despite the difficulty in obtaining prescription glasses. A rather new fascination of his would be beanies. They help him stand out less, which is always welcome.Even with his lean muscle that he's developed, Kaz is still on the short side. Standing a a mere five foot five Kaz seems harmless until one sees the knife hidden under whatever coat he happens to be wearing[/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=PERSONALITY] [attr="class","appcon"]Likes: Puzzles, reading, his notebooks, knives, quiet.[attr="class","appcon"]Dislikes: Loud noises, talkative people, dry and scratchy textures, People who honestly care about him, honestly caring about others[attr="class","appcon"]General Personality: First and foremost, Kaz is on the autistic spectrum. He definitely got off easy, mostly having minor issues with social cues and sensory input. while having all the intellect that comes with his particular cocktail of autism, once called Aspergers. Of course, there are some issues with sensory input. Rough paint on walls, extremely soft foods, and droning noises, and a great deal of other things. All these things that are at most annoying to neurotypical sorts physically hurt to Kaz.Thanks in part to Autism -or rather the form he has- Kaz has a brilliant, analytical mind. Math is the quintessential example of how his mind works. Simply put, he finds math beautiful. Always one answer, seldom open to debate. Never an unexpected result. Perfectly predictable. Kaz also does not read people well. He is likely to miss the meaning of almost all cues others give him or just not understand what others want. It might make getting to know him difficult, but if somebody understand him and his withdrawn personality, Kaz would make a good asset to have in school work, if nothing else. Oh, and about that withdrawn personality... Kaz has never had much luck with people. Something about straying away from physical contact makes people think you're weird. When he is particularly upset about something Kaz withdraws into his own mind, fidgeting with his hands, solving a two by two rubik's cube, or just venting his thoughts into a notebook (in a type of shorthand in these cases.) Kaz's shorthand is very much like lazy people texting with symbols throughout. Vowels except some Es and the beginnings of words are usually removed to write faster and names are shortened to three letters, primarily the first, one in the middle that stands out, and the last nonsilent letter. For instance, "Robert is an awful person. Avoid him" Would look something like "Rbt-awfl persn. Avd." His notebooks are something of a security blanket. He always has one on him and without one he feels insecure and incomplete. Plus if Kaz sees anybody actually read them he tends to freak out. That is kind if a huge transgression in his eyes. Those notes are his deepest thoughts, after all. Kaz's diffculty getting attached to anyone was perhaps his saving grace when Realms collided. But if there was ever a chance for normal interaction, it is long gone. He still has difficulty reading people, but he no longer cares about talking with them, just keeping his allies alive to (hopefully) keep his own heart beating[/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}][PTab=HISTORY] [attr="class","appcon"]Family: Albin Motyll,(Brother, Likely deceased)Bryda Motyll (Sister, deceased) Feliks Motyll (Father, deceased.) Cecylia (Mother, Hopefully deceased in a terrible way) [attr="class","appcon"]History: A native of Poland, by the time Kaz entered the world one sibling was out of the house and the other was just finishing high school. Being an unplanned child that never made the developmental milestones, his very being bothered his mother to no end. Frankly, she thought he was broken or just an idiot. In truth, Kaz just stayed in his head more than other six month olds. Until he was two, Kaz sat by analyzing the world, finally speaking with more diction and precision than the average youngling at that age, even though he started six months later than usual. This odd behavior troubled his mother to no end, and when his father Feliks passed unexpectedly from a heart problem, the only thought in her mind was that Kaz was responsible. Sister Bryda, a face Kaz wishes he could remember, called the Police when she saw her mother babbling to herself about how "Kazimierz killed her husband" with a kitchen knife in her hand. However, when the Police arrived, a crazed Cecylia slashed her daughter's throat when she tried to stop her and ran, but was quickly apprehended. She will sit in prison for the rest of her years. News of what had happened reached Albin, a rather successful corporate businessman and Kaz's eldest brother. It was him who got Kaz diagnosed with a high functioning autistic spectrum disorder, and got the appropriate help. Everything went fine until age fivewhen Kaz began to exhibit some... Strange behaviors. The boy had always stayed around dark corners, but now he was staying IN them. It was hard enough getting social work for him before, but... Anyway, When he was seven Albin sent Kaz away to a boarding school in England that claimed to specialize in "gifted" needs with a weekly allowance The place did wonders for Kaz. They got him out of his shell and even helped him through some other mental health problems stemming from watching his sister get murdered by his mother. Everything was going good until age 14, when the program ended with recommendation to another boarding school in the states. Kaz was with his brother for a year before they decided to send him to The Phoenix Academy for Gifted Individuals. Kaz did not make many friends at the Academy. In fact, he is fairly certain the only reason anyone knew his name was after a hospital stay from an unknown man totrureing him. That earned his fifteen minutes of fame. But when he asked to see every green ribbon's power in a search for one whose power fell in line with what he witnessed, the pity turned into annoyance. When Bolas attacked the academy Kaz was one of the first to flee. there was nothing he could to but be fodder, plus he didn't have much compassion for any of the people there. Allies were quickly needed in the world that came to be. Kaz joined a bit of a gang (Well at that time it was more of a rabble) and has taken to patrolling the subways. ) [/PTab={max-height:200px;min-height:200px;}] [PTab=ROLEPLAY] First the pull he felt, now the monsters, Kazimierz felt certain that this was the time he would not cheat death. Twice he had faced this fear, and the third time might indeed be the charm. There was death all around him. The screaming! the gasps! They were nothing but white noise. Kaz knew he should feel sadness for the dying, but all he could think about was getting out and whatever was happening to him from that day on. Kaz had stayed away from the creatures ravaging the school thanks mostly to the time of day: It was late and the light were off so intended to make his escape as a puddle of pitch black on the ground. But as he made his way into the surrounding forest he heard something. "Help! Somebody!" A boy's voice, pleading for help. Why, why did he care now? Kaz stepped out of his shadowy realm to look for him. The shouting continued, which lead right to a face Kaz had seen in passing for years. Or at least the pink hair was familiar. It was a blue ribbon if Kaz remembered correctly, and he was pinned under a fallen tree. Kaz heard him scream "You! You have to do something, man!" as he rushed to the boy. There was hardly time to attempt to move the tree (A feat that seemed impossible anyway) before Kaz heard a roar from a few meters too close. Almost in unison he and the trapped boy looked at each other, both knowing what was about to happen. It was too late to save the boy, but there was still time to escape. "I am... sorry" Kaz said to the boy and he slipped into the shadows once more. But in that moment Kaz heard words in his mind. No you're not. Don't lie.
